On April 17th 1951, the Peak District became the very first National Park in the UK. While we in Jersey are still very much at an early 'fledgling' stage, we heartily congratulate the Peak District National Park on reaching their 70th Anniversary.

Plan your Easter weekend in the Jersey National Park!

✔️ Take a stroll from St. Catherine’s Breakwater to Gorey Pier and enjoy stunning views across to France, picnic areas scattered along the route and the secluded bays of Archirondel and Anne Port. 🌅

✔️ Share a picnic at Grantez Headland. This maritime heathland has it all; six National Trust sites, spectacular views over St Ouen’s Bay, a passage-grave dating back to around 4000-3250 BC and a valuable habitat for the Green Lizard, Kestrels and Sparrowhawks. 🧺

✔️ Watch the sunset from Les Blanches Banques. As a Site of Special Interest, the sand dunes of Les Blanches Banques are well worth a visit for their special zoological, botanical, archaeological and historical features - and the breathtaking views from the top. Don’t forget to bring a camera! 📷

✔️ Take a hike and explore the coastline between Bouley Bay and Bonne Nuit as well as the lush surroundings of Egypt Woods. 🥾

✔️ Stargaze at Grosnez Castle. When the sun goes down, this ruined 14th-century castle transforms into a magical stargazing spot. Wrap up warm and watch the night sky come to life, unpolluted from artificial light. ✨

World Water Day is about what water means to people and how we can better protect this vital resource.

Did you know that the largest open area of natural fresh water in Jersey is situated in the heart of the Jersey National Park at La Mare au Seigneur? This wetland, owned and managed by the National Trust, is additionally protected as a Site of Special Interest (SSI), reflecting its incredible diversity of species and habitats and overall conservation importance.
